Where did what go? The Proof.
What Proof? How if The Proof is not there or anywhere to be found then how can one prove it ever existed in the first place?
Exactly what proof is Granny talking about here, might one imagine? "Proof" after all is such a loaded word, at least Granny thinks so. Take all those bits of propaganda Granny has received over the years. Some people might be impressed by them, coming from Ottawa with the official stamp of our Federal Government so impressive and ...NO NO ... Granny is not being facetious ... Please forgive Granny for her odd spelling of the word "funny".
The problem with the mailings, thought Granny, was the waste of money and paper and resources ... Ahhh another pocket to dig into for funding GAI Ganada.
So what does that have to do with "Proof"? You see, it's like this. Every time one of those thinly disguised party propaganda pieces would arrive in her mailbox Granny would be quite rightous feeling, resenting the fact that she was taken to be such a fool as not to see through this scheme, this thinly veiled attempt to discredit ... well let's just not name names, shall we?
Granny would set the piece of propaganda aside, determined to write an irate letter to her Member of Parliament ... Then Granny would realize how fruitless that would prove to be. After all, look who was sending out the bits of propaganda!
So Granny gathered up all the propaganda mailings and used them as fire-starter, thus destroying all the proof that Canada Post had ever sent her these intelligence-insulting mailings in the first place.
Redeeming value? Hmmmm ... great fire starters!

And just when did Chretien say that? Was it before or after he dumped Sheila Copps? I have no idea what happened there but a little common-folk under-employed supporter from Hamilton told me that somebody did Copps dirty. I must admit I have no proof, nor am I especially eager to dive into that pond.
Did Chretien so eloquently expound upon Proof before or after the political machine bulldozed Kim Campbell? Our first and only woman Prime Minister of Canada, Campbell hardly had time to dip her toes let alone lay out her economic reforms from sea to sea. She tried though, even during her time in politics to connect with ordinary Canadians. She even visited Bathurst New Brunswick at at one point, and this was not a fly-through photo-op.
